Whoa, that's a difficult one...
I think the main reason for the conflicz is the passivity of the rest of the world. It's like two stubborn kids going at each other - parents need to step in and stop it sometimes. Without a HUGE intervention (which Israel would probably oppose), there's never going to be peace, I'm afraid.

Thanx for the link Frank. Yes, its difficult but not impossible. This conflict has been going on for over 1000 years so its not going to end with ease. Jews think, "this is our land, by heritage, its always been ours" Arabs think, "but we're here now"... both are valid.

Israel, like any other nation state wants its territorial sovereignty respected. Look at this way. If Austria were to start attacking Karlsruhle or Walldorf with Ketusha Rockets, wouldnt Germany want to respond (with Force) to stop the attacks?
