There was a trememdous amount of buzz around Yahoo Pipes, Yahoo's RSS aggregation dev tool, when it first came out... but I gotta tell ya, I haven't heard boo about it since it was launched. Is this another one of Yahoo's failed development exercises? You know, the one's that get funded, launched and die on the vine? Why is there no marketing Umpf for Pipes? Its cool, easy to use, has a bunch o' applications, Yahoo should be pushing the heck out of it. This must be a symptom, the company seems miserably mis-directed and unsure of itself. I sure would be after the whomping they've been receiving from Google. How do you recover culturally from such a hit? Gotta be tough to retain and foster talent given where they are in the market.
Pasha Sadri left Yahoo! to start his own company.

Amazing the fate a company has when just one person leaves. But I should have known this. I see it all the time @ SAP
